Fr. Sebastian Vadakumpadan
"1. Rehabilitate a prisoner today, better the world tomorrow"
"2. Rehabilitate a prisoner today, save a potential victim."
"3. Help a child of a prisoner, prevent a potential criminal"
We are not essentially different from prisoners whom we visit in prison. It is only circumstances that distinguish us and we mush be grateful to God for these circumstances.

Projects

Prisoners (under trial and convicted, juvenile and adult, Men, women and transgender)

We have divided our projects based on the amount of time a prisoner spends in prison and we work on specific behavioural aspects and levels of personal growth.
The projects are: (come up with a creative name for each)
  • 1 to 2 years
  • 3 to 5 years
  • 6 to 7 years
  • 8 to 10 years
  • 10 to 15 years
  • 15 and above years
  • Under trials adults
  • Under trials juvenile

Prisoners family

  • Once a person goes to prison, their family generally cuts away all ties from them and do not want to accept them back into their lives. This causes a great anguish to the prisoners and they seek their forgiveness and acceptance of their family members.
  • We based on the 3R Module have various stages in which we bring the prisoner and his family together and unite them in harmony and forgiveness.
  • We also provide assistance with revenue generating schemes for the family and education for the children.

Victims family

  • In our current environment, we do not have any support system for the rehabilitations of victims and their families. They are left to fend for themselves; and added to their misfortune. They are caught in the legal system and have to visit the police station and the judicial courts.
  • We have a 2-fork module with which we work; one is for the victim and one for the family.
  • The victim’s module is aimed at healing the physical, emotional and the spiritual aspect of the individual(s).
  • The victim’s family module is aimed at acceptance without prejudice and creating a nurturing environment.
